Children’s Attire Questions for Easter

Easter Outfits

  • Easter usually requires two outfits for your little girl or boy. The first – and most important selection - is an outfit for the religious service. You will also need to plan a second change of clothes if you are attending an afternoon party or picnic. Coordinating the color scheme of these outfits will allow your little ones to be coordinated and save you money on accessories.
  • The religious service attire for girls usually consists of an Easter bonnet or hat, headband or bow, a traditional looking/heirloom quality dress, matching shoes, and purse. Popular colors and patterns are soft pastels and florals. Popular fabrics include cotton, duponi, silk, and tulle. For boys, one should consider a two-piece short set, smocked Jon Jon, or suit jacket and dress pant.
  • Afternoon ensembles should be casual, but coordinated. Select a quality bloomer set for a little girl or a summer dress for an older girl. Accessorize the outfit with a headband or bow, and matching purse. Don’t forget the matching doll outfit to complete the outfit and keep your little girl busy! Boys could coordinate with the same color scheme in a matching short sleeved shirt or shorts.
